H₂S Seawater Treatment — 30" MJTNG-1 Pipeline
Removing sulfide from the seawater used to dewater the 30-inch MJTNG-1 pipeline at the Marjan offshore field — 500 m³/hr, 40,000 m³ total.
A treatment system removing sulphides from seawater used to dewater the 30" MJTNG-1 pipeline. DAF, sulphide-scavenger dosing, and activated-carbon units capture H₂S and control odour, processing 40,000 m³ at 500 m³/hr.
FK & Partner Co. and Water Technology Company (W-Tech) installed a DAF unit, a sulfide-scavenger dosing system, and activated-carbon units to capture H₂S, treating 40,000 m³ at up to 500 m³/hr; IE-Consult led the design.
Seawater used to dewater a large offshore trunk line carries sulfide that must be treated, and H₂S captured, before the water can be safely handled.
- 30-inch MJTNG-1 trunk line dewatering
- 500 m³/hr flow, 40,000 m³ total
- Offshore field, H₂S safety
A treatment train sequenced to the contaminants.
DAF removes suspended solids, a multi-media filter polishes TSS, a sulfide-scavenger dosing system neutralises sulfide chemically, and activated carbon captures residual H₂S for odour and safety control.
