Containerized Water Treatment Pilot Plant — JTTF R&D I
Operating a containerised pilot plant for Saudi Aramco R&D at Juaymah, trialling multiple produced-water technologies in parallel to inform full-scale selection. This is a pilot programme, not a production plant.
A containerized pilot plant operated to test multiple produced-water treatment technologies in parallel under real field conditions, supporting selection and optimization of the best full-scale solution for JTTF evaporation-pond water.
FK & Partner Co. operated and maintained the 25 m³/day pilot — installing, commissioning, and running each technology under real field conditions so R&D could compare performance objectively.
R&D needed to evaluate several produced-water treatment technologies side by side under real field conditions before committing to a full-scale design.
- Multiple technologies tested in parallel
- Real evaporation-pond produced water
- Pilot scale — 25 m³/day
A treatment train sequenced to the contaminants.
The pilot ran nano-filtration (sulfate removal), constructed wetland (heavy-metal removal), DAF, cyclone oil-water separation, de-oiler, and RSL membranes (TSS removal) as a controlled comparison platform.
| Equipment / parameter | Application / value |
|---|---|
| Nano-Filtration | Sulphate removal |
| Constructed Wetland | Heavy-metal removal |
| Cyclone OWS | Oil-water separation |
| Pilot capacity | 25 m³/day |
| Capacity | 25 m³/day |
| Project type | Pilot plant — operation & maintenance |
Multiple technologies tested in parallel
Nano-filtration for sulphate removal
