About Jizan Refinery

Jizan Refinery, on the Red Sea coast in southwest Saudi Arabia, is one of Saudi Aramco's newest facilities with ~400,000 barrels/day capacity of Arabian Heavy crude. It includes hydrotreating, hydrocracking, and sulfur recovery units producing clean fuels to international standards.

Sulfide Removal — Tank D-0101

Supply, installation, and operation of a treatment facility to remove sulfides from ~30,000 m3 of accumulated sour water in Tank D-0101 at Jizan Refinery. Target: reduce sulfide concentration from ~8,000 ppm to less than 1 ppm, meeting Jazan WWTP discharge requirements.

Scope of Work

IE-Consult provided complete design, engineering solution, and project management.

FK & Partner Co. & W-Tech Co. supplied and installed oil-water separator (10,000 ppm oil, 20 m3/hr), DAF unit, sulfide scavenger dosing system, and activated carbon units for H2S capture.
