Abu Arish Sewage Treatment Plant O&M Project in Jazan – Saudi Arabia

About Abu Arish

Abu Arish is a community located in the south west of Saudi Arabia, and it is a part of Jazan Provence, and close to the border of Yemen. Abu Arish has no sewage network and waste water treatment plants.

Before the new plant being built,tankers were discharging in a manmade lagoon located approximately 25 km away from the city. The STP location was chosen to be close to the lagoon.

Abu Arish STP

Abu Arish STP is designed to receive waste water by tanker discharge from the surrounding community. The waste water is municipal waste water.

MENA-Water

MENA-Water provided the complete design, supply, installation and commissioning startup for the complete plant 1,000 m3/day Screening, grit removal, lifting station, aeration and MBR, storage for treated water and storage for sludge including drying beds and measuring Instruments were included in the scope of works Complete plant is operated by PLC.

Scope of Work

FK & Partner Co. is operating and responsible for the O&M of the complete plant. The complete design, installation, and commissioning startup for the complete plant was done by a different contractor.
